77°L - Crisp Malting offers a range of colored malts to provide flavor balance and color to your beers. All malt is produced from premium two-row barley. The roasting (to first crystallize and then further to caramelize the sugars progressively) gives a more intense color and flavor to each of the malts listed. Although the malt is produced to a tight specification, the process and timing of each batch is controlled by the eye and nose of a skilled Roast-Man who, by practice, knows when to discharge the kiln to give the desired characteristics of the malt required.
