O-Ring, Silcone, High Temp, 1/2" Pipe

High temp silicone o-ring fits over 1/2" pipe fittings to seal your weldless fitting and keep them from leaking (although these will sometime drip during the heating or cooling process due to expansion). We normally put one on the inside and one on the outside, just to make sure. Hold whatever is pressing on the outside o-ring (like your ball valve) steady while you snug up whatever you're using on the inside of the pot (like a coupler or a bushing). Hand tight or a smidge beyond is usually good to get a seal. Any more then that and you'll deform and possible tear the o-ring...then you will have a really good leak.
